Egypt 12th to 25th September 2023
Autumn equinox tour.
Day 1:
12th September 2023

Arrive at Aswan airport, for meet and greet, transfer by car and boat to our island hotel Eco Nubia for check in, dinner and relaxation.
Day 2:
13th September 2023.
-
Gather at the hotel for local home cooked traditional Egyptian breakfast.
-
Take a brief boat ride across the Nile to the enigmatic site of Philae temple. The temple of Goddess Isis.
-
Lunch at the local island cafe and a visit to a small market for mementos and gifts.
-
A boat trip back to the mainland to soak in the atmosphere of a traditional Aswan Nubian market bazzarat.
-
Dinner at the Nile side Katodool restaurant.
-
Return to Eco Nubia Hotel.
Day 3
14th September 2023

Breakfast at the Eco Nubia Hotel.

Visit the 'unfinished obelisk' at Aswan quarry, the home of all Rose quartz granite, used throughout ancient Egypt.
-
Board our private boat to Elephantine island, onward to Kitchner`s island botanical garden, ending our day with dinner at the world famous Old Cataract Hotel.

Return to Eco Nubia Hotel for our last evening in Aswan.
Day 4
15th September 2023

Today we travel to Luxor.

Breakfast Eco Nubia Hotel.

En-route to Luxor we stop off at the temple of Kom-Ombo, dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile headed god and Horus the embodiment of Ra, to view the depiction of heaven and the celestial bodies.
-
Following Kom-Ombo temple we travel to Edfu the temple of Horus. This temple exhibits the magnificence of the Ptolemaic Dynasty, view the Sun Barge of Horus and the depiction of Zep-Tepi.

Travel onwards to Luxor.

Check into the Embrace Hotel.

Day 5
16th September 2023

A restful day In Luxor.

Visit the East bank of Luxor to enjoy the Bazzarat market (Souk), or relax in the gardens and pool at the Embrace Hotel.

Gather in the 'Sound Room' area for a presentation from Vincent Kane regarding the esoteric nature of Egypt.

Day 6

Karnac Temple of Amun, including a private access viewing of the famous statue of Goddess Sekhmet.

The Osirion, the oldest temple in Egypt.

Dendera temple. Temple of Hathor, home of the renowned Dendera Zodiac, the melted steps and a private viewing of the famous Dendera 'light bulbs'.

Day 9
20th September 2023

Breakfast at the Embrace hotel

Valley of the Kings, visit the tombs of the great Pharaohs, including the tomb of Tutankhamun.

Valley of the Queens, to visit the exquisite tomb of Nefertari.

Felucca boat ride on the Nile, to enjoy a traditional Egyptian meal at sunset, for our final evening in Luxor.

Fly to Cairo airport

Cairo museum en-route to our hotel in Giza.

Meet for an orientation in readiness for our evening excursion to the Great Pyramid of Giza, for a 2 hour private view, at the heart of the Geographical centre of Planet Earth.

Dinner on the hotel roof terrace for our last evening in Cairo.
